Initial Consultation &Academic Assessment

Understanding your child’s unique learning profile is the foundation of effective support. The Academic Assessment and Initial Consultation is a thorough process designed to identify your child’s strengths, challenges, and the best starting point for tutoring.

This process includes:

  • Review of specialist reports, including psychologist or speech therapist assessments

  • Analysis of school reports and prior assessments

  • Written or verbal communication with your child’s class teacher (where appropriate)

  • Online academic assessments, focusing on key areas of Literacy and Numeracy (depending on individual)

I take a holistic approach by synthesizing information from previous assessments and interventions with current performance. This allows me to pinpoint your child’s academic functioning, highlight areas that may benefit from further evaluation, and provide actionable strategies for support.

The assessment itself is conducted online, directly with your child, and takes approximately 1 to 1½ hours, ideally split across two sessions. To maintain focus and engagement, sessions may include short brain breaks using educational games.

Following the assessment, you will receive an Individual Education Plan for your child identifying;

  • areas that need to be focused on

  • recommendations for next steps and intervention strategies

This ensures we start at the right place — with a learning plan that is both targeted and meaningful.

Fee: $380 (includes consultation, assessment sessions and Individual Education Plan)

Individual Tutoring

One-on-one tutoring sessions provide targeted, personalised support tailored to your child’s specific needs, learning style and pace. Whether the goal is to consolidate core skills, build confidence, or extend learning beyond the classroom, our sessions are designed to make meaningful progress.

📆 Availability:

Tutoring sessions are offered on Thursdays and Fridays between 7:30 AM and the final booking at 2:30 PM (AEST).

🕒 Session Options:

  • 45-minute session – $90

  • 1-hour session – $120

The most suitable session length for your child will be discussed and determined following the Academic Assessment and Initial Consultation. This ensures that each session is aligned with your child’s attention span, learning needs, and academic goals.

All sessions are delivered online, and tailored resources are prepared in advance to maximise learning time.

Whether your child is working on literacy, numeracy, or a combination of both, individual tutoring ensures we focus exactly where it's needed most.

Individual Education Plan adjustments & additional consultations

IEP adjustments, as well as further consultation time with teachers, specialists, or other professionals, may incur an additional fee. Any such charges will always be discussed with you in advance, ensuring full transparency and agreement before proceeding.
